Parts of a Refrigerator
You will not find many houses that do not have a refrigerator inside the kitchen. It’s been a must-have appliance for several years. A residential refrigerator will store your food and drinks at the best temperature, in order to reduce spoilage and stop the growth of bacteria. The concept of refrigeration works by distributing the warmth from the inside of the refrigerator to the outside, using the principles of condensation and evaporation.
The parts of a refrigerator are below. For questions or service call Ideal Edison Appliance Repair:
Compressor
The refrigerator compressor is both a motor and pump, and it’s responsible for the circulation of refrigerant dispersed in the cooling system.
A compressor is a very important piece of a refrigerator. You should call a professional company if the compressor is broken.
Condenser
The refrigerator condenser is located on the rear exterior wall of the refrigerator and will help to release the warmth absorbed within the refrigerator then out to the air.
Evaporator
The evaporator is installed on the interior of a refrigerator where it absorbs heat held within it, thereby reducing the temperature inside.
Once the evaporator is not working, it is time to enlist a professional. Do not wait too long.
Expansion Device
Liquified coolant is transferred within a capillary tube which acts as an expansion tool to cool the gas inside, thereby transforming the gas back into a liquid.
Thermostat
The refrigerator thermostat helps regulate the current temperature throughout the refrigerator, beginning the cooling cycle as needed.
The thermostat inside of a refrigerator is very prone to malfunction. Troubleshoot and hire a repairman in Edison for service right when an issue happens.
How Does Refrigeration Work?
1. The moment the temperature in the interior of a refrigerator rises above the set point sensors signal the compressor to engage, and then the cool down begins. The unit collects the cool liquid refrigerant, then condenses and pressurizes the liquid, and raises the temperature, so it can turn into a gas.
2. The compressor guides the hot gas towards the refrigerator condenser coils located on the exterior of the refrigerator, where it comes in contact with warmer temperature in the home and transforms back to a liquified form.
3. The cool liquified gas then continues on its trip to the evaporator component, pushing through the many coils within the appliance and top freezer section.
4. The refrigerant absorbs the warm air from within the appliance, returning the temperature down to the optimal set point.
5. The coolant will evaporate, and turns back into a gas state, and then returns to the refrigerator compressor in order to continue the cooling cycle.
Refrigeration is often used in several applications and appliances, including heat pumps, air conditioners, refrigerators and residential freezers. By contracting warmth from a single area and distributing it to somewhere else the continuous cycle of refrigeration helps cooling your house, provides a perfect space for food that is perishable, and also helps with the manufacturing and storage of a number of different common products and goods.
